The Huskies made the best of their home ice advantage Saturday and Sunday putting back to back wins togther at the end of a busy weekend of hockey. The Team is now sitting in first place in the NWJHL.
Andrew VanDerMerwe back stopped the team in the 7-4 win Saturday against the Slave Lake Wolves while Wendel Dyer got the 'W' in the Sunday Matinee against the Peace Air Navigators that the team won 3-2.
Bryce Novak two goals and four assists and Brady Busche added two goals and an assist in just his second game of the year in the 7-4 win. On Sunday, Durrell McLennan notched the game winner short handed midway through the period and Wendel Dyer slammed the door late to preserve the 3-2 win.
Currently the Team sits with 14 points throught 10 games to lead the league. Dawson Creek has 13 points in 9 games for second best record in the league and Sexsmith sits in third place with 12 points in 10 games.
